Dr. Vikas Vazhayil

Dr. Vikas is a Professor of neurosurgery at NIMHANS, Bangalore. His educational background includes an MBBS, MS, and MCh in Neurosurgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST) in Thiruvananthapuram, as well as a DNB in Neurosurgery and a postdoctoral fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Surgical Robotics. His professional interests encompass neurosurgical robotics, autonomic neurosurgery, novel imaging techniques, deep tech development, and cerebrovascular surgery. Professor Vikas V. is an active researcher and author, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, focusing on neurosurgery and biomedical engineering, particularly in the intersection of AI and Neuroscience. He also has a deep interest in Deep Tech development, and is pursuing a PhD in data sciences at IIIT-B.
